I moved to Montana from Nevada in 1992 with one male llama in my trailer and awaiting the arrival of eight females purchased from the late Storm King Llama Ranch in Hamilton Montana. Today Star Sapphire Ranch boasts over 90 llamas with 5 working studs and close to 30 cria each year.
Herd health is handled by an experienced and dedicated crew assisted by a state of the art in house vet facillity. Dr. Rolett Pryun of Blue Mountain Vet Clinic in Missoula, Montana oversees the health and welfare of the herd while the nutrition and reproduction is coreagraphed by Dr. Nnorm Evans of Kentucky.
